Budelli<\/strong> is a special island in the Maddalena archipelago: it is very small<\/strong>(only 1.6 square km), and is inhabited by a single person, the island\u2019s keeper<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The island of Budelli is entirely made of granite and it is crossed by a ridge, the highest point of which is mount Budello<\/strong> (88 meters above sea level). The coasts are made up of rocks overlooking the sea, high and inaccessible, with marvellous tiny beaches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Porto (or Manto) della Madonna<\/h3>\n\n

The three islands of Budelli<\/strong>, Santa Maria<\/strong> e Razzoli<\/strong> are very close to one another. They are separated by a stretch of sea<\/strong>of immaculate splendour.<\/p>\n\n

The lagoon of Porto della Madonna<\/strong> is the embodiment of the adjective heavenly<\/strong>: the softturquoise<\/strong> hue of the water of this natural pool<\/strong> as a calming effect on the mind and induces the visitor to dream.<\/p>\n\n

Porto della Madonna<\/strong> is accessible via sea<\/strong> and really deserves a stop. It will remain forever in your memories and in your stories.<\/p>\n\n

The pink beach (La Spiaggia Rosa)<\/h3>\n\n

The Pink Beach<\/strong> is the symbol of the Maddalena archipelago National Park<\/strong>: its spectacular beauty<\/strong> is recognized around the world also thanks to a long sequence from Michelangelo Antonioni<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s 1964 film , which was shot here.<\/strongred><\/p>\n\n

Its name derives from the peculiarly pinkish colour of the sand<\/strong>, due to the sedimentation of skeletons and shells of an extremely large number of tiny sea animals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Pink Beach<\/strong> today is subject to a special protection<\/strong>, regime aimed at preserving the biodiversity<\/strong> that makes it unique in the world and at the same time extremely fragile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Budelli is very small, being only 1.6 square kilometres wide. It is inhabited by a single person who is also the keeper of the island.
